For LGBTQ+ Young People, we have also provided a list of some organisations and groups across West Northants and North Northants as well as many National organisations.
West Northants Organisations and Groups
Q Space – Northampton
Q Space is an organisation for the LGBTQ+ community in Northamptonshire. Currently we run a weekly youth group, but our dream is far greater, and we hope to help and support the wider community.
Northampton Outlaws Rugby Football Club
Founded in April 2012 Northampton Outlaws RFC are the first ‘Inclusive Rugby’ club in the East Midlands. Based in Northampton, we draw players from the whole of Northamptonshire & the surrounding counties. We are open to anyone regardless of experience, ability, age, ethnicity, religion, or sexuality. Everyone is a beginner to start with and the majority of our players began as total novices with no prior experience.
Northampton Town FC Community Trust
Northampton Town FC Community Trust run a range of programmes across the county (adults and children) including football engagement/wellbeing sessions. So, if you’re looking to learn a sport, meet new people, or be part of a community check out Northampton Town FC community.
The Lowdown
The Lowdown’s LGBTQ+ Support Service runs youth groups and events for young people up to the age of 25. We offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to attend as and when you like. It is a space designed so that you are able to explore who you are, to socialise, meet new friends, talk though difficulties with others who understand, whilst also having fun and joining in with activities.
Northampton Pride
The event is organised by the Northampton Pride Committee and West Northamptonshire Council’s LGBTQ+ and Allies Forum and features live performances, walkabout entertainers, stalls, food and much more for people to participate in.
North Northants Organisations and Groups
Kettering LGBTQ 17-25 Group
This group has been set up to provide a space for people aged 17-25 to socialise in a comfortable setting, meet new people from their community, be the first to know of trips and events, and to access support when needed. Based at the William Knibb Centre, Kettering (via the Youth works entrance on Montagu St) and welcome all. They meet every Tuesday from 17:30 – 19:00.
Youth Works Northamptonshire
Youth Works are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation that delivers education and support services to the young people of Northamptonshire. Their Hide and Seek group brings young people (11-16) together in the Kettering and Corby area. Youth Works also provide Counselling, support with college admissions, a range of activities throughout the year, and much more.
Corby Pride
Join us in spreading love, acceptance, and pride by becoming a sponsor of Corby Pride. Together, we can create a more inclusive and welcoming world for everyone.

Stonewall
Stonewall is a charity that provides information, support and guidance on LGBTQ+ inclusion.
Mermaids
Provides a range of helpline services supporting transgender youth, up to and including the age of 20.
The Proud Trust
Providing online support for LGBT+ young people and the adults in their lives.
Switchboard LGBT+ Helpline
A safe space for anyone to discuss anything, including sexuality, gender identity, sexual health and emotional well-being
Childline
A free, private and confidential service where you can talk about anything.
Galop – the LGBT+ anti-abuse charity
They run four national support helplines for LGBT+ victims and survivors of: domestic abuse; hate crime; rape and sexual abuse; and so-called “conversion therapy”. They also provide longer-term support to thousands of LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse through our advocacy services.
